    N52 lower radiator hose

I am, for the first time, completely satisfied with my thermostat and lower radiator hose!

In the original mounting configuration the thermostat was a bit jammed into the radiator and I needed an adapter plate to move the thermostat further down and back. Also, I had a 90 degree hose that was somewhat pinched because it needs to bend about 120 degrees- the thermostat outlet doesn't point straight up, it actually points backwards a decent bit.

Since I've now moved the engine back about 11mm by using the Z4 mounting arms, there's enough room for the thermostat to mount in its intended location, no need to move it anymore. I also found that Pegasus sells a 1.5" 135 degree silicone elbow that fits perfectly after cutting 2 1/2" off one of the legs. A 120 degree hose may fit slightly better but I've only seen those available in England by Samco, or there may some OEM hose that has that bend.

PIctured is the original configuration with the offset plate, the hose, and the new fit.
