Its not new and not aftermarket... It is the original crankshaft from a S38B36 that had 60k miles when pulled out..

Just a heads up, brand new from BMW they are only $789 and come with new shells.

Here, for $789, new from BMW. Part number 11 21 1 315 109 which according to the parts diagram shows that it comes with shells.
