I just purchased a beautiful 88 325ix 2 door and noticed that the side skirts are pulling away from the body. I looked under the skirts and they don't seem securely attached to the body or rocker panel. Looks like there should be something attaching the skirts to the underbody. I think only some 3M tape is holding them on. I want to take the skirts off and install them correctly. Does anyone know what fasteners, clips or whatever else I will need to install them properly? Part numbers or quantities would be very helpful so I can order them before I take the skirts off the car. Also, any helpful hints on removing and reinstalling them would be greatly appreciated.
