    325ix Rear Driveshaft Length & Spec's

Thanks for the info.....just what I needed. Once I realized I hadn't extended the length fully, it matched up to your 37 7/8 spec. Hopefully this used replacement shaft fixes my violent driveline shake at +40 mph

    Flange to flange it's 37 7/8".

It's 1 piece, no CSB, with 1 u joint at the rear.

    325ix rear driveshaft length

Can somebody post the length of the rear driveshaft for the 325ix? Also confirm that this is a 1 pieve shaft with no center support bearing?

    Thx,

    Jonathan

There is a plunge fitting just in front of the rear U-joint that makes the length somewhat adjustable... that's how the driveshaft comes out when T-case and diff are fully installed.

AFAIK it's not structural, it's mostly just a cover piece. I'd rather grind on that than the bolts holding my driveshaft on. :)

Haha I just read this.. I Know it's 3 years old but I had to laugh. Anyways. They're physically the same in case anyone wants to know for positively, I measured them to the exact same length. The guibo are also the exact same, which also make a great upgrade for the front driveshaft as well, using longer bolts of course. Don't forget to shave them a little to clear though :)

irrelevant since this is both in the ix subforum and the OP specifically said '88 ix.
