ok well i just bought a 88 ix with 200k miles for $1800. It runs fine but needs some rust repair which i've been working on non stop lately and almost finished but my big question is my transfer case. I put the car up on 4 jacks and put it in 2nd and let the wheels spin and both backs spin together because of the limited slip but on the front it seems to be an open diff and only one tire spins. If i put my foot against the one side is stop and throws to the other. but with the back i can't stop one at a time. so is the front diff open and does every thing sound like its in working order to you.
