    easily, by a country mile.

with that offset you could run a 225/45-16 (or similar).

Your help is greatly appreciated :)

Is 17x8.5" ET 20 pushing it to far?

yeah, that would be a much tougher fit, especially in the rear.

I'm on the edge of ordering some ESM wheels now, does this seem right?

          ESM-002SL
          - Bolt Pattern 4x100
          - Center Bore 57.1
          - Offset 35
          - Size 16x7.5

Just for kicks, what would it take to fit a 17x8 et20 up front and a 17x9 et26 out back? I know stretch, but how much?

I don't know that it will even be possible. you'll definitely hit the front fender liners up front at full lock, even with very stretched/undersized tires. in the rear there's just not going to be room for much of a tire.

you're basically looking at 205s on a very heavy wheel.

Hmm, I was just kinda curious, I was talking to a guy with a set of style 5's.

for an 8" wheel ET20 is just too low, unless you want to run rubber band tires for the stretched look. If you want to fit a decent tire under there (225, 235, etc) you need an offset closer to 30-35 all around, but there may still be clearance issues with the front struts. a 3mm spacer can be used up front for fine tuning though, if you started with a higher offset wheel (like ET35).

The back is a bit more forgiving but you have to modify the rear flares a bit (nothing you can see outside the car).

I'd totally be into a lightweight 17x8 wheel if the tires didn't cost double what 15" tires do..

7.5" wide ET35 would be perfect, you can fit 235s.

Honestly it doesn't matter but does anyone have a set of stock weaves they wanna sell?

                                I guess if 17x8 is tight, 16x9 isn't even worth a try. Et20, with 215/40's maybe?
