I messaged him a few months ago about the same point and never heard back. Must be a govt conspiracy... He's got a day left on this listing, keep your eyes on this one. Color combo isn't the most attractive, 101k, cracked dash, but I could see it going for 7k.

there's a lady who wrote a book about BMW production #s from the beginning to ~2001 or so. She may know how to find out. She doesn't break down NA import #s for the ix though, just total production (25,000 or something).
