yes, i was getting 20mpg at that point and the m30 afm was an instant +3mpg. i started seeing 23mpg. top half is a very good condition head. it's been decked, 3 angle valve job, and everything refreshed. using a large aem hot air intake. most important mod: wrinkle painted intake and valve cover.

i commute a lot and i track my fuel consumption pretty regularly.

i miss my es dearly. i could drive like a total jackass and still get ~30mpg.

My 88 iX (manual) does a solid 18MPG with a mix of city/highway. If I do all highway, it's 20-22.

Kinda miss the old 300K mile es in that one respect. That fugly bitch got 28-30MPG no matter what.

my ix with 4.10 diffs in it and a cam just got 26 mpg highway. 31-33 is good but you shoud be doing better than that audiquattrot.

Did the m30 afm do anything for you kershaw?

I don't think little mods add up to much mileage-wise. I think your motor is in good shape.

exactly. that was 31.8mpg. which is totally eta gas mileage.

the car has a decked head and an m30 afm. bottom end has ~300k on it. it's also lowered with an is lip. little mods add up i guess.

my eta gets around 30-32 on the highway. I just drove from Southwest Florida to Lansing Michigan and got like 31.5 to the gallon or something

filled up near my grandmothers house (her 88th bday) and on a whim hit the avg mpg button my obc. it said 25mpg. holy shit. and seeing that i had just calculated my last tank of gas 5 minutes ago at fill up, at 24.87mpg i thought wow that is really fucking good!

so i tried to baby it the 35 miles on the highway. staying between 70 and 75mph. when i got off the highway i topped off again. 1.066 gallons. distance traveled, 33.9 miles. obc said 30.9mpg. closeenough.jpg.

i am really impressed. :up:
