Which if any parts of the ix exhaust are ix specific? What about manual or auto... does it make any difference?

According to realoem, they are different part numbers between the iX and i, AND the autos/manuals of the same build month and year.
So yes, technically. Whether or not one will work in the other I cannot say. I don't have an iX.
But the automatic i and manual i exhausts work just fine betwixt each other. that I can say. Even if they are different part numbers.

Thanks for the tip. I'm looking for a comfortable quiet ride... nothing sporty. Will this be louder than stock?

I need a center section (cat) from an IX (manual or auto doesn't matter)

Sounds about right?'87 325is coupe

only if it's custom, any M20B25 cat-back exhaust is going to bolt up.Last edited by nando; 06-27-2012, 11:11 AM.
