knocking sound on acceleration in transmission tunnel by ebrake

I'm getting a knocking sound on acceleration on my 91 325iX, it's only when the clutch is engaged (contacting the flywheel) and increases with speed but not RPM, if I take it easy it's there but not prevalent - if I gun it, it makes tons of noise. New flex discs front and back, no loose bolts, etc

I took it to a parking lot, and it doesn't seem to make a difference in right or left circles.

I'm not really sure what else to try as tests for it, it makes no noise up in the air on jackstands.

I did notice that after an alignment it still pulls to the right, wtffffff

          u joint or TOB,

oh and for the alignment, switch your wheels from one side of the car to the other, or if directional front to back, called tire pull, uneven wear or slight tread deviation will "pull" the car in one direction or the other, if you switch wheels around it should pull another direction.

            Stripped front drveshaft splines

Ix's have no csb and the only u-joint is at the rear diff.

i had a similar issue last yr, and the rubber mount (part # 18 ) in the diagram failed. The rubber mount (vibration dampener) separated from the metal plate, and was hitting the tunnel floor underneath.

this is external but above the transmission mount, right? I was poking around a bit this weekend and saw that mine was cracked, I have the parts on the way so after h2o I'll give it a shot.

                  Also, thanks for contributing!
