Tires options for stock ix 15" rims

Hey,

Checking around the forums there doesn't appear to be many recent discussions around tires options for the stock ix weaves.

Been searching around for some new all seasons and seems like 15" options in 205/55R15 are getting really limited.

Searching on tirerack and some local shops seems like these are the main options:

All Season
- Falcon ZE912
- Kumho Ecsta ASX or 4X (much difference?)
- Bridgestone Potenza RE92 >$200 and I've had reall bad luck with Bridgestones...
????

I'm leaning towards trying the Flacon's but worried about some comments that they suck in the wet.

I recall that Conti used to sell a nice all season tire but seems like they dropped the 205/55R15 size....bummer

Anyone have experience / options for tires? A bit more selection available for 'summer performance' tires with Yokohama and some others....

195/60r15 very common.....perfect fit

Well, perfect would be what they came stock with... 195/60 is a downgrade.

Also look into 225/50-15. Another slightly undersized option is 205/50

I have the Falken 912's now on my Alpina's, and like them a lot for everyday use. I don't use these in the snow, but are great in the rain....I'm getting them again in the spring.

I had Kumho ASX's on my old Audi, and was less impressed. Got noisy after 10K miles, and didn't grip well in wet conditions. I tried them in moderate snow, and was scary.

Thanks for the opinions. Well I ended up bagging on the All Seasons and just going for summer tires for the weaves. Went to my local tire shop and asked about summer tires and they gave me a deal on some Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 in 205/55R15.

Got them for the same price as Falcon 912's. Even beat tire rack on the price. So I thought I'd give them a try. Had the alignment done as well which was needed. They seem decent so far but have under 50 miles on them.
