eibach what? I didn't even know they made a kit for ix's.
anyway, "best" depends on what you want to do with it... -
they were on the car when i got it. part number 45306 and they looked to have been on there for a while. they are starting to rust where the paint in flacking off. i just want a decent handleing nice ride. i have my trans am and turboed 7 series to raise hell in. coilovers would be nice bc i could get the exact stance i wanted but i have ground control coilovers on my TA but thats more than i want to spend on this old thing. it will never see the track. Here are some pics of the spings and how bad the back sags. The idiots looked like they may have heated them up bc the front and the back and pretty compressed under load

that is dumped! those are definitely not ix springs, in all likelyness it's an eibach pro-kit for regular E30s. Not good. too soft and too short.
judging from the pics, you've got about 1/2" of front suspension travel, and that's before you have gland nut/strut bearing contact, not even counting the bump stops. it probably sits on the bump stops 99% of the time. I bet the ride is terrible. :(
best, simplest, easiest suspension would be H&R sports and bilstein HDs with the bump stops trimmed about 1". it will raise the car some, but that is actually a good thing. Even on coilovers, I'm not anywhere near that low, it's just too low for the ix suspension to work at all. unless you enjoy crashing over tiny bumps :(Comment

yeah i have bilsteins hd on it and yeah thats what i figured bc i never could find a kit for and ix from eibach. its not too bad of a ride but you have to watch where you go for sure bc it will bottom out of the bump stops. i cant wait to get the H&R's on and get this thing de-riceafied lol.sigpic

yeah they were fine with the other springs but now sit like you said like stock.
I have HRs and Koni in my IX, and I ended up getting larger spring pads for the rear to make the wheel archs match front to rear. I don't like that rear sag, that some E30s get.
where did you get them and which h@r's did you go with? the same ones i got i presume. were the front grey and the back blue? mine where and that was the first set of h&r's ive put on like that. they are usually all blue so that has me wondering if the front are wrongsigpic

Nope, ix's are gray/blue.
Does your car have trunk tar?
This is how my car sat on h&r, with the top rear pads removed and none up front:
