    RIP my iX

    Well its the end of the pink menace



    I know I'm not on here too often, (still an e30techtard) but i figured I would share. I may have found a car to put the parts in though so I can stay in an iX. If anyone else knows please dont buy it! I need a week to get the cash!
    I started a for sale ad here in the meantime to raise some funds.

          After all the work that cars seen sad loss. You'll find another. I'd be interested in your shifter setup if you part it.

              Ive owned about 15 cars and have never had such bad luck. Especially with a car I have put so much work and money into. Ix's are cursed as far as Im concerned.

              While it was down with a stripped T-case I was driving the 2002 for two weeks or so. A car I have owned for 9 years with ZERO issues other than routine maintenance. The iX got jealous and told it to blow a headgasket. Such an asshole!

              If I do get this one Im trying for, Im getting a volvo too for a daily driver. Ix's just aren't for daily use. I got my girlfriend a stickshift '90 240dl 2 years ago with 220k for $1700. She has put close to 40k on it with under $1000 in maintenance including some unnecessary fancy stuff.

              I have put around 60k on this car in 3 1/2 years and could have leased a new car in what I have put into it.

              It's not the worst news for the car, I pretty much saved it from the junkyard. It was for sale for over a year by a crazy evangelist dude with goats. the front shaft was broken and even with that out it would shake itself to pieces over 25 mph. Bent control arms and bent wheels. I wish I could figure out how to post my spreadsheet of what I have put into it.

              It lived a happy end of life and certainly gave me the disease.
