Has anyone replaced the transfer case mount ? I have too replace it what is the best method being I don't have the special tool ' anyone done one or any info out there etc . Thanks

I bought one and brought it, along with the transfer case, to a shop to have it pressed in. Don't remember how much it was, but certainly worth it. Someone posted a how-to if you have access to a press. You can find the thread if you search. -
Without the tool, I'd cut the bushing material out with a recip saw/hacksaw, then carefully use the hacksaw to cut out the outer bushing ring.
I'm not really a fan of pressing old corroded bushing sleeves out anyway, plus I hear the mount "ear" can break easily at times.Originally posted by priapismOriginally posted by shamesonComment
