    shimming front driveshaft

im looking to shim and upgrade the front driveshaft for my turbo ix, before i start putting everything back together. i was looking to use that longer spline upgrade jute offers, along with the x5 guibo, and centering pin. but i dont have the part numbers, nor where to look for the actual parts. (year/model specific?)

could anybody shine some light on the exact peices needed? is there any peices that im missing? and perhaps would anyone be kind enough to provide the part numbers as well so i can make the order tonight? i did do a search, and came up with good info on the function and purpose of this upgrade, but i didnt seem to find the exact answers to these questions i needed. im just extremely busy with work at the office, and bouncing back and forth to the garage and reaching out for alittle help from the guys who have been there. thanks you.

the part #s for the X5 parts are listed in a thread specific to this topic.

you could also go to www.realoem.com and look them up (for an E53).

              Also..

I cannot locate a X5 centering pin.. Part number 26201227191 - I ordered from bimmermercedespart.com but they never delivered (and credited the difference back)

I can locate X5 Centering Pin Part number 26117507533

Located at Turnermotorsport for $67 +shipping

              http://www.turnermotorsport.com/(F(I...-bmw-part.aspx

              RealOEM has both listed..

              http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...75&hg=26&fg=10

I assume the other part number should work...?

Have you tried BMW of South Atlanta for that X5 pin (26201227191)? I think that's where I got mine. Can't speak to the alternate part #.
