    Alternator Issues?

    Hey guys,

Ive been having a charging/starting problem for quite some time now. Recently, the only way i was able to start my car is if i charged the battery or jumped it. Then it would eventually die, assuming the battery ran out of juice. Basically, it seems like the alternator is not charging the battery. I changed the alternator about 8 months ago and the battery about 10 months ago. Today I changed alternator to start cable to a better/upgraded version and fully charged the battery. It was able to start and somewhat hold the charge.

Heres a list of the battery readings:

    -OFF- 12.4
    -First start: 12.18
    -with lights on: 12.08
-Turned OFF- Slowly back to 12.48

    -Started again: 12.1
-after 15 mins and occasional revving: 12.37
-with seat heat ON: drops to 12.21
    -Seat heat OFF: 12.4 QUICKLY!
    -OFF: 12.4

    -Started AGAIN: 12.4
    -With seat heat ON: 12.29
    -Pulled sea heat FUSE: 12.4
    -Put fuse back IN: 11.97
    -Engine OFF: 12.4

Anyone have any idea? 12.4 is pretty low wight he engine on... maybe bad alternator... again??

    PLEASE HELP!

If your voltage readings have not reached over 13 volts then your alternator is either not turning on or not putting out correct charge. I would check for power at the small blue wire behind alternator. Should have battery voltage with car on. Start there.

If there is voltage, alternator is bad.
