Dipstick tube

So the dipstick tube doesn't press on at all right it just gets patched up with the rubber tube and 2 clamps?
I put a 89ix dipstick tube on my 90ix and ever since then the actual dipstick catches going in and out.

all ix dipsticks are the same. yes, it's connected with a rubber hose.
