No Conforti Performance Chip for me!

"Ordered a Turner Motorsport Conforti Performance Chip as they where on Black Friday Price for $150.00 with shipping."

Today I received a phone call from Turner Motorsport that chips are NOT available for the ECU I have in my 1991 325iX :(

They even spoke to Conforti about programing chips, not possible....only posting what I was told.

I'm assuming you have a 526 ECU, Which came with the '91 IX. I saw the same promo on black friday and I decided to get a chip only problem is I went to select my ECU and they only had the 525 so I said what the hell and I bought it hoping for the best. Well long story short I installed the chip 3 days ago and It worked perfectly can really feel the torque and I even had it up to about 120 mph with no problems. I cant speak for the long term but the 525 chip seems 100% compatible with the 526 ecu. PM me if you have any questions
I spend 90% of my money and women, cars, and booze. The other 10% is wasted.

it will work. I have no idea why they wouldn't sell you one for the 524/525/526. maybe it's an emissions thing? I'm pretty sure the 52X DMEs came on cars with "California emissions" stickers, so maybe they don't want to get into legal trouble (although at this point, who cares?). Physically, the computers are exactly the same as the 173.

you could just get a chip from one of the forum members, like SSSquid. Conforti hasn't been top dog in like 10 years.
