    Isn't the ix awsome

this is my first winter actually driving my ix full time and I have to say damn this car grips....I am a avid skier in Colorado and I haven't had a car pass me all winter and I consider my self a reserved driver
I mean I am literally passing snowplows with my studded snow tires

well I havnt asked R3v a stupid question in a while so my stuipid question is what mpg are you guys getting with your IXs my 13button obc says 18.9mpg and I thought it was supposed to be up in the 22's
I basically only do highway driving but it is all up big mountain passes and through shitty weather

(also how do I make the image full size)

With studded snows they are unbeatable. I drove mine through CO during a blizzard just before they closed the roads once on a cross country trip. Was a bit white knuckle over the continental divide but the car was awesome.

I get 21-23 mpg typically. In snow it'll be worse of course. Having a good temp sensor helps :-) They fail faster than you think.

I dont have an exact number but I would say im in the 18mpg area. Replacing the ignition system and adjusting valves this week so hopefully that goes up.

they are great Snomobil's with working AWD ,and with studded tires the grip is unreal....

19mpg in the cold going up and over passes sound about right, most you prolly get is about 24-25 in summer without A/C freeway cruising

Elevation in general and hill climbing especially kill gas mileage.

man that alpine white looks even better in the snow. are your rims painted a darker grey than oem or is it just the snow?

Going uphill is going to kill mpg. My commute is 25 flat miles each way and I average about 24mpg.
                AWD > RWD

My overall average for all fill-ups, since November 2011, is 19.211 mpg.

That's including both highway and city driving, 86 fill-ups, and 17,994.55 miles driven.

According to the ix window sticker, EPA estimates state 17 city mpg, and 23 highway mpg.

I've seen both below and above EPA for city (16 to 19), and typically above EPA for highway only drives (upwards of 26).

Oh, and on the bottom of the window sticker it states:

"Actual Mileage will vary with options, driving conditions, driving habits, and vehicle's condition. Results reported to EPA indicate that the majority of vehicles with these estimates will achieve between 14 and 20 mpg in the city, and between 19 and 27 mpg on the highway."

, exhaust, 19 LPG injectors, miller maf. I drive with my foot on the floor however, and it is the winter car.
