So I looked under my car as I always do wile changing my oil and I finally located where an annoying rattle was coming from. My transfer case mount is dead. I did find a replacement but here is my question, how do I replace it? I assume a puller is needed of some kind but do I need to take the transfer case out or can I leave it?

I bet there are some guides that describes how to change the diff bushing :)
Never done it while still in the car, but you could probably do it with the right tools. I bet its a little tricky but should be doable!E30 325ix M50 turbo 7 spd DCT 4wd 840awhp @ 31 psi.

Manual and auto use the same mount
I usually just take it into a shop and have the new one pressed in.Comment

Does anyone have the special tool 27-1-260 that the service manual says is needed to change these bushings out? If so, I would like to rent it if possible. PM me if you got one!The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!Comment
