    Rear bushings question!

Hey everyone, for my 325IX I want to install solid Condor bushings in the rear end...

Before I order, I want to make sure im buying the correct stuff..

Is this the correct kit I need with the 12mm riser bushings?

Our Blackbird combo gives your E30 the ultimate suspension upgrade. The Blackbird Combo includes rear subframe bushings, rear trailing arm bushings, and more!

It should work but you have to get the brackets that goes under the subframe bushings from a rwd car.

    E30 M50 6 spd 764whp @ 24psi.

don't put the 12mm bushings on the ix. that's overkill, and the diff bushing won't align up anymore unless you space the diff down like 3/4". Also, you would probably reduce camber too much.

all you need are the regular size RWD bushings for the subframe and the diff spacers. that will give the same effect on the ix.

The diff bushing wont be a problem as the IX bushing is made for the diff to mount lower so if you go rwd bushings and rwd diffbushing its all ok again without spacing the diff. (or going 12mm riser with diff spacers is also ok)

BUT if i remember correctly the front of the prop shaft bolts straight to the guibo on the TC? If so moving the diff will put a slight angle on the guibo..and the guibo probably wont like that in the long run :P

right, but he's not talking about just the RWD bushings, he's talking about the special ones that are another 12mm shorter than the RWD bushings, which are already 1/2" shorter than the ix bushings. so he's double dipping, it's just not necessary.

Yeah but that kit comes with spacers so the diff sits at normal rwd level :)

Anyone on here running rwd bushings without diff spacers? Curioos if the added angle at the guibo makes a big diffrence or not.

If he's lowering it lower than RWD ride height...

Doesn't that raise the diff in the body enough to drill a new mounting hole in the diff mount and avoid the spacers?

Wait... So I didn't need the RWD subframe brackets?

I bought the RWD bushings and RWD diff bushing.

I'm probably still lower, and I don't need to lose any rear camber. the 12mm shorter bushings are overkill on the ix.

with the 12mm bushings? no because as nisse says, once you use the RWD diff bushing the hole is already lined up. another 12mm is less than 1/2".

you said you were buying the 12mm RWD bushing kit. what I'm saying is, the standard RWD bushings are already shorter than the ix bushings. the 12mm bushings are probably too much - that would be better on a more slammed car, which unless you want the front of your ix to be higher than the rear, isn't really going to help you much.

the standard RWD bushings are fine. you could still use the brackets I think, or use the ix subframe spacers but put them on the bottom of the bushing.
