    ix drivetrain potential

Does anyone know the power limits of the drivetrain. I already have an 325i but it would be really cool to pick up an ix and rally it.
What kind of power can be pushed through it before stuff starts breaking?300,400?

I think you mean torque, not power. 300ft/lbs shouldn't bee an issue.

Sorry, when I say power usually torque is what I mean. Torque is more important when it come to rally racing anyways. Ideally I would want some weird power figures such as like a turbo diesel makes. 250hp and 400 ft/lbs of torque to really accelerate out of the corners.

Mike let me know what comes up, I'm interested too. I have been doing a lot of research and have been seeing a lot of dream ix's being made. There used to be a guy who would refabricate and strengthen the origional hardware for more torque and power. I believe the mentioning of it was on these forums.
