Ix transmission same inturnals as rwd e30?

So my transmission needs a new reverse synchro baaaaaad, and I'm curious if the rwd getrag has the same inturnals as the ix getrag. If so I can replace the gears and such with ones from a rwd transmission.

If they are not the same where can I order new synchro or even new gears?

Yes, they are the same internally.

There are some slight differences in the rear output but you could build one using RWD parts.

I thought so I just wasn't sure thanks nando. Is there any where I can buy new synchros at all or am I stuck paying bmws outrageous costs?

Alright that sucks. Well I'm going to read up on it and practice with a junk yard transmission and see if it works and if I'm successful I'll do the real deal.
