CV Joint Boot

I need to replace my driver side, inner CV joint boot and found this for ~$12 from GKN LOEBRO :

That is a good deal. Usually they are like $30. They must be on close out. Make sure you replace the inner and outer at the same time. And honestly, you might as well do the other side as well. It's usually the passenger side that fails first, so if your drivers side failed, the passenger side is on borrowed time.

Think that is a better price than I paid at Pelican which was cheapest in 2011 when I purchased 4 of each inner and outer. Rebuilt my spare axles and have a full set left if ever I need to redo the ones on the car now.

Is there a trick to replacing the rubber boots on the steering rack on the ix?

Looks like you have to drop the front axle support to get to the inner clamps.

AutohausAZ has them for a better price (but higher shipping minimum). It's usually a toss up between them and BMA for the lowest OEM parts price (not OE, which are factory parts).
