    New E30

    Hey guys,

Recently acquired the car I've always wanted. Just bought a 1989 325iX. Its seen some better days and needs tons of TLC at the moment. I was wondering where some of you get your parts from (body panels, seals, lights, interior stuff, etc.) I've been looking at PelicanParts.com. It runs fairly well, previous owner replaced the timing belt not long ago.

Also looking at some of the more popular modification. Since I've never owned a BMW before not really sure. I'm use to American muscle and my son's Subaru WRX.

Welcome to the club! I've always had good experiences with Bavauto.com and FCPEuro.com

Other than needing some restoration is the car bone stock?

I usually get my parts from FCP Euro and ECS Tuning. Also, realoem will quickly become your best friend when it comes to figuring out what parts you actually need.

      http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...-E30-BMW-325ix

Find the part in the diagram, copy/paste the part number into your preferred suppliers or Google.

Some mods I've done to my 89 iX:
      5 speed swap
      CXRacing aluminum radiator
      Charcoal canister delete
      Power steering delete
      Wideband O2 sensor (LC-2)
      Depo headlights with LED DTRs
      LED strip under-hood lighting
Bosch design III fuel injectors (only 5 of the 6, one of the replacements was a dud :()

Completely bone stock, needs some body work and some engine work but other than that no issues.

        Thanks for the additional sites.

Go with Bav or ECS tuning. I am partial to Bav because they are within driving distance from me. ECS just got bought by turner motorsports and I have used them many times

Nice! I'm looking forward to dropping a 5 speed in mine. Not sure what else I want to do with it atm.
