front abs speed sensor fitment issue?

so im having some fitment issues with both front wheel speed sensors? the sensor seems to be 1/4 inch too long and will not seat in all the way through. i purchased the 2 front sensors from a member here.

do rwd e30 have different style sensors from the awd ?

tried researching before posting and nothing helpful...

Sounds like the wrong sensors to me - all ix abs sensors are the same AFAIK.
