    Partially dead fuel gauge?

So with a topped off tank the fuel gauge reads about 3/4 full.....should I start with the in tank float or attack the gauge cluster first?

Additional info would be that the Odometer and Tripodometer is also shot...not sure if the fuel gauge and Odo/Trip use a similar circuit or not! I already searched for the Odo and I am sure the gears are just shot so I guess I'll have to rip out the cluster at some point.

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure about which to do first but I would attack both. Make sure fuel gauge has good contact at the PCB, clean all copper oxidation, make sure 7mm nut is tight. Clean tank sending unit and connections at harness.

Between those two, you should have a more accurate fuel gauge.

Remember there are 2 sending units.
