What are the 5-6 best shops west of Kansas for iX expertise? Live in MT, can tow or drive to Denver, Seattle, or CA if needed. PO added Ground Control suspension and I want to get it back as close to stock height (I know!) as possible, among other projects. Might do it myself if I can find the time, but doesn't look like it right now. Main question: with the GC suspension in place, is it possible to get it back close to stock height/etc (all suspension settings that matter so I don't have weird tire wear)? If I simply install taller springs would that work, or would alignment be messed up? It's fun to drive lowered of course, but no clearance over anything in the winter, sometimes get trapped in my own driveway after the plow passes, whereas our Explorer or Suburban go right through the berm. There is also a drivetrain vibration that I've had a hard time locating, and am thinking that a re-set to stock might alleviate and I can go from there, possibly lowering slightly again after the problem is solved. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

You should be able to easily raise the car back up to stock height. Shouldn't need different springs either. Depending on where the adjusters have been welded, you can probably even raise it up a bit higher than stock. Any 'speed' shop should be able to do that if you're unable to, but of course understandably that might not be so easy in Montana.
You will need an alignment for sure, at least toe - if it has camber plates, you can mess with it a bit but that doesn't' make as much of a difference.
If you can DIY, raising the car up is pretty easy. Just need to clean the adjusters, loosen the set screw, and spin the adjuster up however many inches you want, then tighten the set screw. Then either drive (carefully) to an alignment shop or have it towed. If you have a buddy with the lift, I think that would make a lot of sense.
The whole reason IMO coilovers make so much sense on the ix is you can have it at stock height when you need it (winter etc) and then lower it down for summer. I don't really bother with that now since I don't often drive my ix during the winter, but that's one of the reasons I did it on mine.
You could go back to stock of course, but that will be expensive and I'm not sure it's actually better.
