    just when you think you have it all figured out..

    ..you find even more ix specific parts! not that this is likely to affect anyone, but I thought I'd share.

    the power steering resivior bracket on my car was broken, so I looked up the part # for a 10/1990 4 door auto (which is what my car is) - comes up as 32411126321. naturally when I got it and tried to put it in, it didn't fit - that's the part # for the 325i (318 M3 etc)! they are definitely not the same, as the ix has obvious differences in the strut towers and that is were the resivour mounts.

    anyway, a quick search for an early build euro ix comes up with 32411130493, which I can only assume is correct. I guess I'll find out when it gets here. :neutral:

    i swapped to a new resavoir but used the old bracket. unlucky. so many weird parts that are ix specific. I am still dealing with my broken water pump bolt issue. i think i will helicoil it.
