ya, thats stock-ish, front springs might be cut or broken.
but anyways... Welcome to the iX touring club!
I have some H&Rs I can probably part with to bring it a little lower, or go for some GC coilovers. I've also got some not too bad 17's that look good on an ix, but will need one tire for sure.
Tint on that will go a long way for looks too.
Good luck with that thing, I've been watching it for a while.Leave a comment:

e30 touring IX
Just bought a Touring IX. Now I want to find some wheels and slightly lower it. So excited to finally have an E30. I will always be a wagon man
Does this look like its stock Height? I'm not sure if it has aftermarket springs in it, I dont think it does but its MUCH firmer than my dads e30 vertLeave a comment:

Thanks so much! You sold me the cylinder head that is on the car right now, I finally got it back together. Good to hear your iX is back on the road! It looks good, I may throw on some weaves on the 86 so its not so 4x4. Is yours on stock suspension?
There are really some nice roads in CO, you may enjoy pictures from the meet we had in august in Pagosa Springs, CO (near durango). I drove my brothers e36 m3 instead of my iX and it was a blast.
Pics are here, planning to bring the 86 iX next year...

Awesome build and great find on the new differentials. I was out in CO last month visiting my brother in Salida and hiking Crestone peak. Highway 285 from Denver through the mountains was breathtaking. I hope to get out there again this winter for some snowboarding.1986 325iX Euro (Grey Market)
I picked it up as a rolling chassis. Rebuilt the entire engine. It is now a 3 Liter Stroker with ~9.5:1 CR.
Forged Ross Racing Pistons and Rods.
S52 Crankshaft.
Was motronic 1.0, now motronic 1.3 with stock intake, head, and exhaust... for now.
Rare 3.64 Differentials.Leave a comment:

Getting ready for winter again. Last year it was a new engine. This year just rust work, wax and a valve job. 7 more weeks 'til the snow guns start in VT!

you could try to repair it but it will be much easier to just replace it.Leave a comment:

Any tips on fixing it, it tough to get a jack or something up where its bent.
I replaced the door and front fenders, repainted it, and did some engine work (valve job, new exhaust, etc.)Leave a comment:

valance is a little bent but that's an easy fix relatively. :)
what did you all restore? I'd love to have an all stock, completely restored ix someday.
here's mine from the weekend, crappy cell phone pic. family car status FTW!
