    iX clutch replacement

Has anyone out there any good tricks and/or tips on how to make this as painless as possible? i have read the procedure on the iX registry, but was wondering if anyone has a better maybe more streamlined method. And also what else should i do while I'm in there ie. main seal, tranny etc. Thanks.

Definitely replace the rear main seal while you're in there. And lighten yours or buy a lightened fly wheel? I got mine from Metric Mechanic, I think it's $250 plus a $150 core charge.

          No.

taking mass off of a stock flywheel will cause your engine to accelerate quicker after clutch engagement. If enough weight is removed.

A good machine shop can do this when you get it resurfaced. make sure it is balanced after.
