driveshaft shims? does this work?

    driveshaft shims? does this work?

    hey im thinking about trying this, does anyone have any experience with this? it seems a little sketchy, but its so cheap and easy im really tempted to try. heres the link from ixchange...

    After taking out my front driveshaft and putting lube on the splines, I decided to do the washer shims as well as addition insurance. It doesn't hurt anything and only costs a couple of bucks. Cheaper than having shaft lengthened.

      yup i figure its worth a try, i mostly just wanna know if anyone has had any problems with it or anything.

        No Problems...you only have so much room there (as in # of washers) before things start to rub. Rubbing would be the only potential problem that I could think of. The number of washers to use depends also on the thickness of the washers.
