    Wheels!

    Hi there,
I recently bought my first e30, a 86 325i and I 24v swapped it and threw in a m52. Before I got the car it was lowered on coilevers and I like the look of it but the oil pan sits so low (about a balled up fist off the ground) I am scared of driving on pothole filled roads. I am looking for good a good rim and tire setup that looks good and is possibly slightly larger to raise the car a little bit and help save the pan. I am hoping this and a skid plate will do me good. I was told 16-17 inch would help when compared to the 15s im running right now. I am on a budget but want the car to look good. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Largers wheels aren't going to help, you need either a larger tire diameter if your tires are undersized (stock diameter is about 24"), or you need to raise your ride height, which should be easy to do since you have coilovers.
