Volvo lip preperation.

I cannot for the life of me figure out WHY people mount them upside down. This has totally changed my opinion of them.

So, how did you do it? I tried twisting it and putting a clamp on it for few days which seemed to have worked but shit just resorted back to flairing after it was put on. Should I have used the hot gun to the rounded corner or something?

thanks. literally just pull it in. hook it onto something. I forgot where i hoooked mine exactly but I just used zip ties, wheel well plastic covers? somewhere there.

I found a pic I took while comparing the Volvo lips side-by-side in both mounting configurations with the kid's iX. It's a bit washed out, but I think it shows fairly clearly the differences.

I know I´ll get some hate for saying this, but honestly, I don´t think the lip looks that bad when mounted upside down (I believe that´s how is mounted originally on the Volvos). I actually think it looks just as good as the other way. Not better, not worse. Just....different.

I don´t know what year´s Volvos came with them, but I noticed at the JY the models that sport them all end in "40", as in 940, 740, 540 and such. Turbo or not, doesn´t matter. Apparently those models were made in a certain date range, because newer models don´t have them.
