Respraying red...go with a different shade, or stay the same?

    Stay brilliantrot, it's the best red anyway. Zinno is overrated.

        Why are you repainting? Your car has single-stage paint, so unless it is peeling, has previously bad paint, failing primer, etc. you can probably bring it waaaay back.

        As a reference, I loaned my GlossHaus kit to a local guy with a pretty scruffy red E30:

        Here' a few pix:

        A test 50/50:


        Here's the final when he dropped off my kit:






        That was just sealant wax, not the carnuba, which would have deepened the gloss a fair bit...

          I'm mainly doing it for all the dings and scratches I have. There's a very good amount, so I'd like to get rid of them all and go for some paint. Plus my rear valence is kinda jacked near the exhaust and I'd like to fix that.
