    Cabrio Trunk Question..

Another request to the other cabrio owners...

Could someone check their trunk real quick? I'm pretty sure I read that I'm supposed to have two shock absorbers, but yet I see only one, and the passenger side arm doesn't have the metal part to mount a second shock like the driver side arm does. Is mine wrong or what?

Different model years came with different numbers of shocks. Some had 1, others had 2, I forget which year it changed in.

Ditto here. Mine has one and it makes it a little uneven.

Take it off and make it a manual trunk, it weighs next to nothing.

That's what I have to deal with everyday because mine is worn out. But it truely is a pain in the ass when you have handfulls of things you need to get in/out of the trunk. I had the same problem with my hood shock. When working in the engine bay I either had a friend hold it or prop it up with a 2x4. I got tired of that and bought a new one.

                      Wow..

It all makes so much sense now.. No wonder my trunk lid is kinda crooked :P

I thought all had two, if it's fine with just one I'm not gonna kill myself over it. Thanks guys.

U serious? One time my shock came loose as the clip had fallen off and the trunk had no support, it weighs alot more than u think.

The trunk on my old eta has no shocks and it opens and stays up just fine.
