    Dschwarz fading

Ok, so my sunroof, bumpers, mirrors and deck lid spoiler all are faded. i tried every method i was told that would work and nothing seems to help.

i recently got some sem and currently painting my mirrors and deck lid spoiler, but i was wondering what a bumper painted in sem black same as trim look like on a Dschwarz car...

    Good? Bad? Ugly?

I was quoted 5800 for a paintjob which i cant afford because of other financials...

    any POSITIVE input is appreciated...

SEM is not diamond schwarz Metallic. It's not gonna look right. What you're experiencing is part of owning diamondschwarz. It happens to them all. You can either have a paintshop respray the individual components (cheap) or respray the entire car. If you shop around you can get a quality paintjob for less than 3K. Less if you strip the car yourself.

Strip the car and do as much taping as you can by yourself, remove trim, etc and paint job will be 50-70% less. Also call around to local paint stores and ask if they have any dschwarz paint someone ordered and never picked up, worth a shot, as materials are an expensive part of the painting process aswell, good luck.

i dont want to get into details, but the financial state my family (as well as about 80% of the country) wont allow me to really dish out anything on the car.

the paint itself is faded all over the car, but the clear coat is still intact. its the sunroof and bumpers that grey is showing through. I did my mirrors which were chipping and flaking off, now i have to do the shadowline trim because i didnt notice how faded that was. its a never ending pocket fuck from this car. its unreal!

So long post short: i cant get individual parts resprayed, because it wont match the exact tone.

        Im SOL?

They seem to be small stuff. Dschwarz seems to fade a lot so I'd relax and just wait for other things to fade. When you're in a better financial state then start looking around. This will also give time for the car to completely fade (and clear start lifting off like nasa) and then you'll get the entire car nicely redone. Also, none of those things really are "look at me" spots. I'd suggest just seeing if someone has a non-faded pair of mirrors if they bother you. No one is going to look at your sunroof and especially not your bumpers.

Not SOL just a timing issue. Or..you could strip/paint yourself with SEM and wish you'd never have done it.

As does Delphin for some reason. Won't buy either colors just due to fading issues.

yeah, most Dschwarz cars i see are not the factory shade.

I got a guy to respray lined up. not Dschwarz though, just regular Schwarz.
