Early and late model sedan question

Is the door trim for late and early model sedans the same? Interchangeable? I think they would be despite the difference in arches because the door shape is still the same right?

Interchangeable? yes. The same?..no. Early models have that tiny chrome strip while 88 on up were all black.

Ya thats why im asking. I want to swap out my early ones for late model trim to get rid of the chrome strip. They are different for coupes but the same for sedans then right?

Good question. I always thought they were all the same lengthwise but cannot confirm this. It's just the shape of the wheel arch that's different. Back in the day, I just painted it black or used electrical tape lol.
