Sand the whole car down to bare metal and have properly repainted.
No amount of wet sanding and buffing will save paint applied that shitty.
Well, assuming it's cleared...since that's all that people use nowadays, he's probably right..you may be taking a chance of sanding it down to the base.
I'd still try...even if you slide it down to the base...just sand the whole car down and re-clear it.

Don't assume things. You don't know what you are talking about. That paint looks like single stage. The car is clearcoated, but that repair isnt. Look at the runs.. clearly its single stage paint.
Garbage.

You're right...Thought those circles were just pointing out more orange peel incidents.
It looks like someoen just used store spray paint and sprayed over the area with no prep or sanding....please lord tell me there is no one on earth that is that stupid.
actually the fender dented n a pro workshop quoted me arnd usd140 to get it redo n touchup. usd140 is too much money for me. anyway the first time i painted it was betta but stupid me rub & smeared the painted area with thinner. so i had it redone in a rush hence the crappy result :(
so jordan, wut u suggest ?? strip the whole thing n repaint ?? mebbe u can share how its suppose to be done for amatuer me ?? :?:
hahaha, I can lay paint down better than that with a rattle can!
first, if you paid a bodyshop to do it, go back to them and punch them in the face. then have them fix it. if you did it yourself, bang your head up against a wall. then you can try to sand it down and buff it, but you'll probably never get that transistion right. like jordan says, it's going to need redone..
on an unrelated note, those painted grilles are nasty
AFAIK, there is no currently available clear that will properly adhere to single stage paint. Base coat is not intended to be a finish, just....a base coat. all gasses evaporate almost immediately, thus allowing proper adhesion of the clear. The finish is actually the clear.
Single stage does harden, has UV protection and is the actual finish. Single stage paint will continue to outgas for 2 to 3 years, depending on climate. that outgassing is what causes "Orange Peel", and if the paint were thick enough, there is no way to keep it from running. These factors make it damn near impossible for clear coat to stick, on any kind of long term basis.
Might stick OK for a year or two, but maybe not. Maybe you will get lucky and get 5 years out of it, who knows?
Either way, expect hassles to continue.
Stripping to metal and starting over is the way to fly, unless you are gonna keep the car for a year or three and dump it.
Good luck!
