Front bumper removal

I have a 1987 325is and have aquired new bumper trim and a new bumper. How do you remove the Front bumper? My buddy's 88 had holes cut in the bumper so you could get at the two main bolts. Mine does not, and i am puzzled as how to remove the bolts without cutting said holes.

You gotta remove the grilles, lights, and rubber surrounds first.
