OEM BMW paint for restoration?

Glasurit was used on E30's new. BMW also used Sikkens but not till later I believe.

I belive the following were used by BMW for various cars:
Glasurit
Sikkens
Dupont
Herbert Standox

I belive some were water based, which I don't think wil be the best quality. Was Glasurit water based? Does anybody have experience with any of these paints?

Not that I really know... but it seems like if you don't already know the answer you shouldn't be painting your car expecting OEM restoration results.

That's why I'm asking what others have used with success.

What would be a good paint to use for restoration purposes? I'm looking for paint that will last for 10+ years without fading. Should I look at various BMW OEM paint manufacturers? I'm looking for the best possible results.
