Another "Painting front valance / lip spoiler" thread... Recommendations?

Just got my IS front valance / lip spoiler and brand new, primed, and ready to be painted and worn. My car is ' Lachssilber ' (salmon silver) color code 203 (paint part number 51910419821 for anyone who cares). My question is whats the most affordable / best way to paint match it? I've called around locally and so far the cheapest is Maaco for $175 but they'd touch-up my paint chips on the front bumper too...

Anyway, I've seen those oem paint sticks on ebay and such... Anyone use these + think I can get away with using it on my front valance?

$175 just to paint hat 2'' lip doesn't seem worth it... I someone on here has got another solution.

    Thanks,
    D

EDIT: Scroll down for added pics of how my diy paint turned out.

    Go to a paint store.
Bring the paint with you, or have them mix it up and match it there.
Have them put the liquid paint in a rattle can.
    Go home and paint lip.

Depending on the type of paint you get, you may or may not want to put on a clear coat.
Bring all relavent information about the OEM paint that you can, including a real life sample.

paintscratch.com is a possible solution. It is a small piece that WILL get chipped damage. TO do it right with primer, SEM Adhesion promotor and paint(clear, sand paper, tack clothes etc) you are looking at about 70 dollars shipped. Follow the guide. Take your time. Do it right. Will be good to go.

I just did this. Waiting for it to arrive. I cleaned my front lip(lachssilber) and I tihnk it is ok. Going to paint the insert on my MTech 1. Should be good I am thinking...

So I got someone to mix oem paint locally in a rattle can. It was $26 for the can and $8 for a can of clear coat. It took no time at all and I wasn't too anal about it... Heres how it came out.

              1.

              2.

              3.

Not too bad for $34 bucks vs the $175 (lowest) quote I got. Its pretty damn close. WAY better than I was expecting. Its not PERFECT if I look hard I can see its slightly lighter depending on which angle you look at it, but once it gets some dirt there will be no telling. I'd like to see how your $75 job will turn out compared to my $34 job. Maybe the quality in clear coats will make a difference? Not sure... either way I am very satisfied!

Not bad at all. I will be going the $75 route when I get the lip in. Need something cheap until I can paint my car and still need to get other external parts.

Looks like it came out good, nice work. I did the same thing on my car but went to a local body shop supplier and had them put together primer, hardener and Du Pont paint kit and borrowed a friend's SATA paint gun and shot it all in my backyard. No clearcoat on the non-metallic colors. It looks a lot better and will get me by until I get the whole car resprayed.
