That's the one I'd seen before.

I don't know, it's not HORRIBLE, it just doesn't look right. An E30, or any BMW period needs to have it's kidneys, blacked out or not.

Damn, that's a hot car, though.

that's what i was talking about, that looks sweet. now if it also got rid of the high beams, that would be kinda cool too.

Even better with the shaved hood he has.
I would never do it though.

too many people bitching about it when 90% of the people on this board black out their kidneys. why not just clean up the look completly and get rid of 'em? you guys obviously aren't to worried about them in the first place if you're spraying them over

I can dig the 2 headlight car. Like someone said, it would look sweeter if it had smilies though.

Kidneyless looks good on the gold car too, then again that car is just all around hot as hell.

I'll be the voice of dissent - I like it. Looks very 2002-ish. I would keep the chrome kidneys, though, for a real retro flavor.

I wish someone made a single round tail light conversion a la 2002 as well.

That would cost more to do in body work than most people paid for their cars. :D

                    LOL.

Actually, I was just hopin' for an insert-style light assembly. Something like this, but with a bit more character (i.e., either raised or lowered covers, not flush)

For reference, here is something for the Miata that changes the look from the standard smooth assembly to a more retro flava'.

Well, if you happen to like that old skool sorta thing, here are a few pics of my modded Miata:

That shot looks good. The top need to be body color. That would be a decent looking car if it didn't have those stupid ass door handles. I Fucking hate those. That jsut makes it look cheap.

                              Meh. To each their own.

Enzo Ferrari didn't think so, and apparently neither do the collectors that pay upwards of $5M for one of these:

Or not. Few classic Italian cars have a body-clolored top. Typically, a black windshield header & black top go together. Typically.

I think the all-metal door handles are one of the nicest details on the factory car. As opposed, to say, cheap plastic Motorsports door handles on my e34 M5.

                                But hey, that's just me.
