how have people attached their splitters?

with the other lip i just attached it with a bunch of screws up into the lip, worked well, but.... i'd like the splitter to re-enforce the next lip, so any suggestions on beefing it up? thanks,

Just screw it in. As long as its tightly flush against the lip it will do its job.

I used self tapping phillips head screws but do to scraping and wear and tear a couple of them on the edge got stripped and filled with crap. so i bought some of the same screws but with hex bolts on the end. maybe that will work better?
