    Removing overspray???

I finally got my '87 painted, and now I've got overspray all over my new rims.
What products/method should I use to remove the overspray from my wheels without damaging the clearcoat?:(

wax should take it off, scrub it really hard with a old wet t shirt, sometimes that works too.

I'd start with a claybar. If that doesn't work try a rubbing or buffing compound.

2000 grit sandpaper and VERY light sanding.

Clay. Clay and a quick detailer. I even clay while I wash my car, the shampoo adds the lube needed. This will be your safest bet and should do the trick.

If you must, you will have to go to wet sanding. I would recommend just working the clay.

While you are at it, clay your whole car. And wheels. It will remove more junk than anything else could.

If none of the above works, try aircraft stripper.

Ummm no. That will definitely take off the clear coat.

try this on your car and let me know how that goes.

if you cant get it off yourself, hire a detailer or a body shop.

Thanks for the heads up. I was only a detailer all through highschool and college.

Scratch-X rubbing compound should work. I would try the clay bar first, then this, then really light wet sand if that didn't work. But it should be off with the scratch-X if the clay doesn't work.
