    Polaris Metallic

Never seen this color in person before. Found a nice junkyard early eta with clean, strait fenders, blue pinstripe, etc. I thought it was only a late-model color?

I thought Polaris was an earlier color.

It's a nice color. I might pick up the mint dash it has, the yard only wants 25$ for it.

Polaris is early. Sterling silver is almost exactly the same and came on the late cars. It is also very close to the current Titanium silver.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

my eta is that color, when the clearcoat fades and getssome gnarly swirl and scratch marks, it becomes a dead ringer for stainless steel :D

              Awesome effect.

I'm considering (atleast 1/2 years away) painting my eta Polaris Silver Metallic or Dark Silver Metallic (on newer BMWs). I like mine henna just I never loved red cars.

Polaris came in 4 shades, BMW 2002 color. You should choose wisely, there was a color change throughout its hisotry. Be sure you check which is which before choosing, I chose the lightest of the bunch, there's a whole story on the Polaris color somewhere, check Google. Also, I'm having my BBS RS's painted that color.

Its a sweet color, it looks almost blue in certain light. Great color.

Why bother painting a stock automatic eta?

I love to throw away money, and nothing wrong with having some vision. There is nothing that can't be changed, and it's not like I'm stuck with one car for the rest of my life.

I actually wanted to ask you how long you spent on your 5spd swap and what you replaced at the same time because that's going to be one of my first big things I do.

The swap took me about 3 days and I did absolutely everything new in the drive train, as well as an SSK, lightened flywheel, and 4.10 LSD.

Pretty sure its 063. However, there are many shades...two shades for Polaris, two other shades for Polaris NEU. Check your engine bay I would assume.
