The best paint for shadowlining a non shadow...

What is the best paint you guys think of for use in shadowlining a non shadow car(yes i know its ghettoish but i hate anything shiny). Also would it be ok to paint the stock bbs weaves or would that be stupid? if so what paint for that? I hope I can use the same paint because I want black wheels

SEM trim paint for the shadowline, Wurth wheel paint for the wheels.

Matt called it. Be sure to scuff the chrome trim VERY well, and use a self-etching primer before spraying. If you don't use a primer, the paint will chip and flake off, even SEM. You can get the primer at the same place you buy the SEM.

How much would this cost? Also, are there any tricks on removing the trim? I have yet to attempt it.

SEM trim paint is formulated for optimum bond and coverage on a NON primed metal surface. Read the can.

I have corrected you on this numerous times now.

Use 3M Scotchbrite pads to scuff the chrome. It will take a long time, but you want a very smooth dull finish.

Just say no to black wheels.

I am going to say I have always used Dupli-color "Trim Paint" found at most auto parts stores...it is a fantastic match. Looked close at a low mileage e30 black trim and compared to mine and you can't really tell a diff in the texture or color.

don't need primer for the SEM trim paint, but if your car gets pummeled with rocks and gravel all the time (like mine) it's going to chip no matter what you do.

i actually just shadowlined and redid my bumpers this past week. I just used some duplicolor trim paint that i found at autozone. I also plan on painting my stock weaves black and have heard numerous ways to do it.
