    Rear defrost for a cabriolet...

It seems there's a powered fan type defroster available for the cabriolet in place of our lines on the glass.

First question, does it work well?

Second, where does it mount? pics?

Third, anyone ever retrofit it to a coupe? Just plain tired of no defrost, thought this was a happy alternative :)

It works okay... its hard to compare, as I have not owned a coupe in a long time. However, I'm pretty sure they do not work as well as heat strips - simply because you just don't see it on non-cab cars. When it turns on it takes a while for the frost to go away. It starts defrosting in the middle and works its way out. Also, more moving parts = bad. Mine squeaks and whistles sometimes. Its kinda noisy :P

It mounts behind the rear seat. I'll take pics tomorrow, time pending.

All in all, I'd reccomend against the fan. I have a rear window with a defroster from my parts car that I may be willing to sell, if Crivellone doesn't take it.

It fills in the ski hole and works fine on the plastic window. There is a relay that keeps it from working when the top is down. (found that out by accident when I accidentally pushed the button and nothing happened. thought it died)

Also it has a vent the runs the width of the back seat and I doubt it would fit in a non cab as it must have been designed to fit the cab.

I would assume it wont fit. There is a recessed area for the fan. I will post a picture if you want.
