I think that's what schwarz is -- factory shadowline trim.

That it is, my friend - so if he painted everything "shadowline" anyways, wouldnt he just buy the shadowline piece from the factory?

The question is though is the factory shadowline trim the exact same color that would match SEM trim paint?

Where to buy SEM trim paint? Look on the SEM site and find stores that offer it, any shop that specializes in body paint has it, Pep Boys and major chains DONT have it, I had to drive down to Inglewood to get mine.

How the fuck did any of you guys take off your window trim and not bend it, it ALWAYS bends, and the more you take it off the more it bends(don't ask why you'd take it off more than once, you just do).

well if it's flat black then it will match SEM trim paint but the question is: is schwarz flat black?

                Schwarz is flat black.

Dshwarz, or diamondschwarz, is metallic black :) AFAIK, there were no glossy trim pieces available.

trim paint isn't flat black. flat black has a matte finish like primer. trim paint is semi-gloss.. just a minor nitpick. ;)

and btw Schwarz is simply german for black.

Not sure the OEM shadowlined black is going to match your SEM painted pieces.

                            This topic is retarded

As nando said, Schwarz is just the German word for black. There are only 2 kinds of window trim offered from BMW, the chrome or the black [which the 318is had]. They don't offer it in glossy [car paint] black, that's most likely why you have never seen it. No, you didn't uncoverm some secret window trim, lol.

Oh and by the way, I didn't remove mine to paint it, that's pretty much how you keep from bending it. Oh ya, and I bet that factory shadowline trim is going to be WAY expensive.
