I bought a previously owned never used raceskid from a member here and I love it. I've smacked it a couple times and glad I paid for it.
I have friends who are EOD bro.

That's awesome. I have friends who make coffee for a living, but you don't see me rocking out a bunch of lattes

And i'm with ZM Blue Devil on this. I'm personaly glad someone took the time to make these for an e30. I had one on my e30. It saved the pan plunty of times! But if you feel that these can be made cheaper and offered to the community. Then why are you on here posting and bitching, instead of out making them and selling them to people who feel that a raceskid is too much?
im sorry i used hillbillies, thats my bad. and i wasnt bitching in the first place but we got threadjacked and i had to defend myself. i agree that its good that he offers them to the community but i dont have time nor do i want to make them for this community! i said his product was good but didnt agree with the price, i then kept on subject and HELPED the OP with his dilema by supplying the schematics of the dimensions similar to the one i made, i then got called a broke dick for no reason and then another guy (you) supported this dick and went against the guy that was trying to help from the beggining. this is why im pissed that a lot of people act like douchebags in this forum. and to the other kid, im american.

if you like you raceskid, Fine. but if you want to rate his product go on his fuckin page, and stop threadjacking.

(no offence to any douchebags, dicks, hillbillies, kids and theadjackers) and no offence to the guy i quoted i dont know you in real life you might just act like this on the forum

      peace

Yep race skids obviously don't work....I guess that piece of concrete stuck in the lower corner would have been better off hitting my oil pan.

Actually can you make little casters? That way I can install them on my oil pan so the next time I bottom out ill just slide across the road.

Lol, you'll laugh when you see my plate.
I've actually pulled over a good 5 or more times now thinking, "F*CK, that HAD to of busted through the plate and into the pan" and to my amazement it hadn't.

            I heart my plate.

This topic got out of hand, it was intended for crafty people. Example why would a fabricator go out and by a skid plate, if he can make one just as functional?
By all means I'm not knockin on ej night, I think what he is doing is brilliant. The way the world works, everyone is not a blue collar worker or crafty enough to make one with minimal effort. This makes the ej night skid plate available to everyone. I support what you he is doing and wouldn't dismiss it to anybody. However I have all the fab tools and supplies I need cause this is what I enjoy as a hobby and for a living.

Here's the skidplate I made. Not a bashplate, just a skidplate.

It works very well. It actually saved my pan a few times too

that actually looks pretty good. you should make another one and just smash it to see what it can take, do some stress tests, or do what i would do and drop some heavy weights from high places on it. then let me know how it holds up i might be interested

Part of the strength comes from being bolted to the chassis. Just dropping something on it wouldnt show you much of anything.

That looks like a fairly rigid design. How much does it weigh?

Don't know how much it weighs and I couldn't tell you how strong it is. All I know is it has saved my pan numerous time, both skidding and bashing. It is very strong. It also has good air flow so the oil pan stays pretty cool.

I wish I made a template for it so I could reproduce it but I didn't. I might be able to make another if you are actually interested.

I actually designed it based off of the factory e30 skid plate
